Preview: Broome Centurions vs. Chapman Panthers

Broome and Chapman are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2021, but not for long. The Broome Centurions will head out on the road to take on the Chapman Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Chapman took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Broome, who comes in off a win.

Last Tuesday, Broome didn't have too much trouble with Carolina Academy at home as they won 56-39. The victory was just what Broome needed coming off of a 74-37 defeat in their prior game.

Broome's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Lance Henderson led the charge by scoring 18 points along with four steals. Xavier Hill was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with five rebounds and four steals.

Meanwhile, Chapman's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They took a hard 67-52 fall against Blue Ridge. Chapman has struggled against Blue Ridge recently, as their match on Tuesday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

Broome now has a winning record of 13-12. As for Chapman, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-13 record this season.

Broome strolled past Chapman in their previous matchup back in January by a score of 66-47. The rematch might be a little tougher for Broome since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
