Soccer Recap: Mt. Carmel Comes Up Short

Mt. Carmel managed to keep up with Newton until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Golden Aces lost 3-0 to the Eagles. Mt. Carmel haven't had much luck with Newton recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Mt. Carmel's defeat dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Newton, their win bumped their record up to 14-4-2.

Looking ahead, Mt. Carmel will take on Harrisburg at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Mt. Carmel will be up against Harrisburg's rather soft defense (which has allowed 4.92 goals per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Newton, they will host Salem at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Salem will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Newton surely won't give up without a fight.
