Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Tri County Northeast). They took their matchup on Friday with ease, bagging a 70-40 victory over the Winside Wildcats. The Wolfpack pushed the score to 55-23 by the end of the third, a deficit the Wildcats cut but never quite recovered from.

Tri County Northeast got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ben Jorgensen out in front who posted 13 points along with seven boards and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaxon Hall, who put up ten points in addition to six assists and three steals.

Tri County Northeast was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Winside only posted nine assists.

Winside lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Brayden Lurz, who went 5-for-6 on his way to 13 points. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points. Caleb Offner was another key player, putting up eight points along with seven rebounds and five blocks.

Tri County Northeast picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 5-15. As for Winside, they are on a 15-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-18.

Coming up, Tri County Northeast will be playing at home against Omaha Nation at 4:00 p.m. on February 15th. One thing working in Omaha Nation's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last eight contests. As for Winside, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 62-30 loss against Stanton on the 11th.
