After a string of six wins, Campo Verde's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They took a 14-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mountain Pointe Pride.

Even if they lost, Campo Verde's defense still kept up the pressure with four sacks. Serena DeRosa was especially locked on to Mountain Pointe's QB and sacked her twice.

Mountain Pointe found their leader in underclassman Amaya Moreno, who rushed for 94 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries, and also threw for 164 yards and a touchdown. Moriah Green was Moreno's top target, picking up 91 receiving yards and a touchdown.
