High school boys basketball: CIF Central Section playoff brackets

Four Open Division teams have combined records of 82-9, including a sparkling 21-1 mark from top seed San Joaquin Memorial.

Sixty teams in six divisions will take part in the 2021 Central Section boys basketball playoffs which begin Wednesday and concludes June 11.

The four-team Open Division is stacked with four of the best teams in the state, featuring top seed San Joaquin Memorial-Fresno  (21-1) which hosts fourth-seed  Clovis North-Fresno (18-3) on Friday. The other semifinal is second-seed St. Joseph-Santa Maria (25-2) hosting No. 3 Clovis West-Fresno (18-3). The winners meet on June 11 for the championship.

All four Open teams will advance to Southern California regional action, which takes place June 14-19. For the second straight year, there will be no California Interscholastic Federation State Championship games played due to the pandemic.

The top seeds in the other divisions are Central-Fresno (Division I, 8-5 record), Centennial-Bakersfield (Division II, 5-1), Bakersfield Christian (Division III, 16-11), Kingsburg (Division IV, 7-4) and Fowler (Division V, 13-1).
