Baseball Recap: Eagle Valley Devils vs. Steamboat Springs Sailors
The home team had come away the winner the last four times Eagle Valley and Steamboat Springs had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Devils took a 10-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sailors on Wednesday. The Devils were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Sailors earlier this season, when they won 8-6.
Eli Adams was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3. Hudson Rozga was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3.
Eagle Valley's loss dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Steamboat Springs, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 9-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Eagle Valley will take on Boulder at 1:00 p.m. on Friday.
