Football Recap: Rocklin Comes Up Short + How To Watch

After flying high against Monterey Trail last Friday, Rocklin came back down to earth. The Thunder fell 29-20 to the Granite Bay Grizzlies on Friday. The Thunder gained 129 more yards on the day, but it was the Grizzlies that made the best use of them.

Despite the loss, Rocklin still got an impressive performance from Reeve Slone, who threw for 248 yards and one touchdown, and also rushed for 58 yards. A healthy portion of Slone's aerial production (86 yards to be exact) went to Greyson Smith, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Leading Granite Bay to victory were Isaiah Ene and Darnell Turner. Ene rushed for 88 yards and a pair of TDs, while Turner gained 82 total yards and a touchdown. Ene also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, defending one pass.

Rocklin's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Granite Bay, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-2.

Coming up, Rocklin will take on Del Oro at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Granite Bay, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Folsom at 7:00 p.m. on the 31st.
