Soccer Game Preview: Addison Trail vs. Lincoln Park

The Addison Trail Blazers will square off against the Lincoln Park Lions at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

While the 0-0 score might suggest a draw, it was Willowbrook who was credited with the victory on Tuesday. The Warriors got it done in the shootout by posting one goals to Addison Trail's zero. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Addison Trail came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 105th, while Willowbrook are ranked 270th).

Lincoln Park's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They put the hurt on Leyden with a sharp 4-0 win. Considering Lincoln Park have won 12 contests by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Addison Trail's defeat dropped their record down to 12-5. As for Lincoln Park, their victory bumped their record up to 14-8.

Addison Trail was able to grind out a solid win over Lincoln Park when the teams last played back in April, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Blazers since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
