Baseball Game Preview: South Fayette Lions vs. Moon Area Tigers

South Fayette is preparing for their first conference matchup of the season on Monday. They will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Moon Area Tigers at 4:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Last Monday, South Fayette came up short against St. Petersburg and fell 11-6.

Meanwhile, Moon Area suffered their closest loss since April 9, 2024 on Monday. They fell just short of Governor Mifflin by a score of 4-2.

Moon Area saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Thad Longwell, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Moon Area's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2-1. As for South Fayette, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
