Baseball Recap: Milton Comes Up Short

Milton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 20-1 to the Danville Ironmen. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Black Panthers of the 8-5 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Milton's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Danville, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Milton is set to face off against their familiar foe Mount Carmel at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Danville will take on rival Central Columbia at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
