Sweet Springs/Malta Bend will take on Crest Ridge at home at 7:00 PM on Friday. It might come down to the wire as the MaxPreps rankings project a close contest.

After having lost a blowout in their matchup two weeks ago against Lincoln, Sweet Springs/Malta Bend were happy to find some success last Friday. Sweet Springs/Malta Bend took their matchup against Santa Fe 28-20. No one put up better numbers for Sweet Springs/Malta Bend than junior Jacob Hall, who brought his A game into the match. He rushed for 129 yards and 2 touchdowns.

As for Crest Ridge, Crest Ridge had a rough outing against Wellington-Napoleon two weeks ago, but a little bit of home cooking seems to have fixed things right up. Crest Ridge were able to grind out a solid victory over St. Paul Lutheran, winning 21-14. The win was a breath of fresh air for Crest Ridge as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
