Volleyball Recap: Pawnee City Comes Up Short

Pawnee City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the West Nodaway Rockets.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Pawnee City sadly wound up on the wrong side. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 22-25, 25-15.

Pawnee City's defeat dropped their record down to 6-13. As for West Nodaway, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.

Coincidentally, Pawnee City and West Nodaway will both be playing Falls City the next time they take the court. The Indians will head out to face the Tigers at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Rockets will play them later in the day, at 10:00 a.m.
