Soccer Game Preview: Northeast Early College vs. Florence

The Northeast Early College Raiders will head out to take on the Florence Buffaloes at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Northeast Early College's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Northeast Early College took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They never let Travis onto the board and left with a 1-0 victory. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Raiders as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Florence won against LBJ Austin on Friday with seven goals and they decided to stick to that goal total again on Monday. Florence blew past Eastside Early College 7-0. That looming 7-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Buffaloes yet this season.

Florence's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-5-1. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those three matchups. As for Northeast Early College, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
