Point Loma lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Clairemont, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Thursday's game. Point Loma was the clear victor by a 14-4 margin over Clairemont on Thursday. The win was familiar territory for the Pointers, who have now won six matchups in a row.

Ella Poulin made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. Poulin was even better at the plate, firing off two home runs and three RBI while going 2-for-4. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Point Loma got a massive performance out of Annika Isaacson, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Bella Lopez also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Point Loma always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .613. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Point Loma's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-2-1. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for Clairemont, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Point Loma will challenge Mar Vista at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Clairemont, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Academy of Our Lady of Peace at 4:00 p.m. on April 8.
