Basketball Recap: Austin Achieve Comes Up Short

Austin Achieve was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 27th straight defeat dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 70-8 loss at the hands of the LBJ Austin Jaguars. The Polar Bears were probably out for revenge after losing 68-18 to them when the teams met back in January of 2022, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Austin Achieve's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for LBJ Austin, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-9.

Austin Achieve will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Eastside Early College at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. LBJ Austin will also get a bit of a break before their next game: they'll face off against Valor South Austin at 12:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Valor South Austin will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something LBJ Austin surely won't give up without a fight.
