Baseball Recap: Orange Cove Gets the Win

Orange Cove hadn't done well against Dos Palos recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Orange Cove Titans walked away with a 5-2 victory over the Dos Palos Broncos. This was payback for the Titans, who suffered a 7-4 loss the last time these two teams met.

Orange Cove's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Benjamin Garza, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one RBI. Those two stolen bases gave Garza a new career-high.

Orange Cove now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Dos Palos, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Orange Cove will take on Roosevelt at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Dos Palos, they will challenge Pacheco at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
