Basketball Recap: Ipswich Comes Up Short

Ipswich was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were dealt a 71-43 defeat at the hands of the Lynnfield Pioneers. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts basketball rankings (they are ranked 275th, while the Pioneers are ranked 93rd).

Ipswich's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Lynnfield, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ipswich will host Rockport at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Lynnfield, they will face off against Essex North Shore Agric & Tech School at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
