Softball Recap: Westmont Comes Up Short

Westmont lost against Aurora Christian back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Sentinels came up short against the Eagles, falling 22-4. The Sentinels have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cate Jackson was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Reagan Kelly, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI.

Westmont now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Aurora Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 2-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Westmont will face off against Christ the King at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Aurora Christian, they will take on St. Edward at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
