Volleyball Recap: Salem's Luck Changes for the Better on Saturday

Fans were treated to a battle of the Lions on Saturday. Salem walked away with a 2-0 victory over Rock Creek Academy. The win was a breath of fresh air for Salem as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Salem easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-19.

Despite the loss, Rock Creek Academy had strong showings from Sofia Bustamante, who had four digs and two aces, and Khloe Lowe, who had nine assists and five digs.

Salem's victory bumped their record up to 7-10. As for Rock Creek Academy, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-16.

Salem wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 win against Scottsburg on the 15th. As for Rock Creek Academy, they have also already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against West Washington on the 15th.
