Bishop O'Connell extended their postseason success on Saturday against Flint Hill. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Flint Hill Huskies 3-2. Winning may never get old, but the Knights sure are getting used to it with their 11th in a row.
Bishop O'Connell wouldn't go down easily and took Flint Hill into a fifth set where they got it done with a nine-point win. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-20, 23-25, 25-18, 15-6.
Bishop O'Connell got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Avery Prendergast out in front who had five digs, three kills, and a block. Prendergast is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 14 or more in the last 30 games she's played. Another player making a difference was Hannah Kotb, who had 17 digs and four aces.
Bishop O'Connell kept the net locked down and finished the game with 16 blocks. That's the most blocks they've managed all season.
