Recap: Harrisburg Cougars vs. State College Little Lions
This season hasn't been kind to the Harrisburg Cougars, who are still winless after their fourth match. They took a hard 58-44 fall against State College on Tuesday. Harrisburg was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as State College apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.
It was another big night for Reed Melvin, who scored 21 points along with three blocks for State College. Those three blocks set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Nate Price, who scored nine points along with five rebounds and three blocks.
Harrisburg bumped their record down to 0-4 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. As for State College, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Harrisburg will be home for the holidays to greet Altoona at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Altoona comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for State College, they will head out on the road to face off against Cumberland Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Cumberland Valley presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than State College in Pennsylvania (Cumberland Valley is ranked 100th, while State College is ranked 259th).
