Soccer Recap: Lowry Finishes Even with Non Varsity Opponent

For the first time this season, Lowry was forced to settle for a draw. Neither they nor Non Varsity Opponent could gain the upper hand on Saturday so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw. The outcome might've been different if Maite Avalos hadn't been hit with a yellow card, which no doubt limited her ability to make aggressive plays down the stretch.

Lowry's goal came courtesy of Avalos, which was the first she's scored this season.

With that draw, Lowry's record moves to 0-3-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lowry will square off against Truckee at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Non Varsity Opponent, they are packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will face off against Jackson Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
