Football Recap: Bluffton Starts off Right with Win over Whale Branch

Bluffton had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They took their contest on Friday with ease, bagging a 49-0 victory over the Whale Branch Warriors. The Bobcats haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Bluffton was led to victory by Aedan McCarthy and Kordell Holley. McCarthy threw for 262 yards and three TDs while completing 78.9% of his passes, while Holley rushed for 121 yards and three scores on only 13 carries. That's the most rushing yards Holley has posted since back in August of 2024. Amare Patterson was in the mix too, providing Bluffton with two touchdowns.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bluffton will welcome Andrew Jackson at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Whale Branch, they will be playing at home against Hardeeville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
