Basketball Recap: Providence Country Day Takes a Loss

Providence Country Day was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 72-36 loss at the hands of the Burrillville Broncos. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Broncos this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 51-29 back in January.

Burrillville's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Olivia Ferraro, who posted 18 points and seven rebounds. Ferraro continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last four games she's played. Grace Diallo was another key player, putting up 14 points and seven boards.

Providence Country Day's defeat dropped their record down to 2-18. As for Burrillville, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-10.

Providence Country Day does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Burrillville, they will challenge Davies Career & Tech at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
