Softball Preview: Harmony Longhorns vs. Bishop Moore Hornets        
        
		
            The Harmony Longhorns are taking a road trip to  challenge the Bishop Moore Hornets  at 6:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one:  the two teams posted some lofty  run totals in their previous games.
Harmony took a loss when they played away from home  on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed  on Saturday. They never let Taylor get on the board and left with  an   11-0  win. Considering the Longhorns have won five matchups by more than six  runs this season, Saturday's  blowout was nothing new.

 Lindsay Green made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She  struck out seven batters over  three innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in ten consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-3 with one  home run and five  RBI. Those  five  RBI gave  her a new career-high.
 In other batting news,  Jade Allen was a standout: she scored three  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-2. That's the most  runs  she has posted since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of  Emerson Aslan, who  went 1-for-3 with one  home run and two  RBI.
 Harmony  lost a few balls and  finished the game with two  home runs. That's the most  home runs they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Bishop Moore made easy work of Lake Highland Prep  on Tuesday and carried off  a  15-3 victory. The Hornets have beaten the Highlanders the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Highlanders has come to flipping the script.
  Ariana Lara and  Carolina Rusnik did most of the damage at the plate:  Lara  scored two  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in all three of her plate appearances, while  Rusnik  scored a  run while going 3-for-3.  Stella Willy was another key player,  scoring a  run while going 2-for-4.
 Bishop Moore's record now sits at 6-11. As for Harmony, they now  have a winning record of 7-6.
 Wednesday's   contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Harmony hasn't had any issues making contact this season,  having earned a batting average of .317. However, it's not like Bishop Moore struggles in that department as   they've  averaged .401. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
