Softball Recap: Central Academy Cougars vs. Forest Hills Yellow Jackets
After only one run in their last game, Central Academy made sure to put some runs up on the board against Forest Hills on Thursday. The Central Academy Cougars put the hurt on the Forest Hills Yellow Jackets with a sharp 17-2 win. Considering the Cougars have won three matchups by more than nine runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Carys Thomas made a big impact no matter where she played. She tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Thomas was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.
In other batting news, Melanie Jones was a standout: she went 1-for-2 with four RBI and one run. Another player making a difference was Siena Crawford, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
