Basketball Recap: South Webster Takes a Loss

South Webster was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 53-19 loss at the hands of the Minford Falcons. The Jeeps were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-9.

Despite the loss, South Webster still got an impressive performance from Addi Claxon, who posted seven points along with eight rebounds and four steals. Claxon is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 24 games she's played dating back to last season.

South Webster's loss dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Minford, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Webster will take on Jackson at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. South Webster is facing Jackson at the right time seeing as Jackson is stuck on a 17-game losing streak. As for Minford, they will square off against Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
