Softball Recap: St. John's Wins High-Profile Contest Against Georgetown Visitation Prep

St. John faced Georgetown Visitation Prep in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Cadets put the hurt on the Cubs with a sharp 18-3 win. The Cadets haven't had any issues with the Cubs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Hazel Fontenot was a standout: she went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and five RBI. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in March. Chloe Armiger was another key player, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three stolen bases, four runs, and three RBI.

St. John's was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .613. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
