Softball Recap: T.L. Hanna Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

T.L. Hanna took a nine-run loss the last time they faced off against Woodmont, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. T.L. Hanna won by a run and slipped past Woodmont 2-1. The win was nothing new for the Yellow Jackets as they're now sitting on three straight.

Addison Sharp 2028 spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on four hits and racked up 12 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.

At the plate, T.L. Hanna saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hanna Davis 2028, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

T.L. Hanna pushed their record up to 9-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Woodmont, their defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 9-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. T.L. Hanna will challenge Andrew Jackson at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Woodmont, they will venture away from home to challenge Greenwood at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Woodmont is facing Greenwood at the right time seeing as Greenwood is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
