Basketball Recap: Iola Takes a Loss

Iola was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were dealt a 62-34 loss at the hands of the Bremond Tigers. The matchup marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Bremond's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jeremy Harris led the charge by dropping a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jeramiah Morgan, who posted eight points in addition to 13 rebounds and six assists.

Iola's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Bremond, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Iola will square off against Mumford at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Bremond, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Bremond Tigers face off against the Aggieland HomeSchool Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Bremond is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.1 points per game this season.
