Softball Recap: Lewis & Clark Tigers vs. Gonzaga Prep Bullpups

Lewis & Clark had to endure a seven-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. Everything went their way against the Gonzaga Prep Bullpups on Friday as they made off with a 16-5 victory. The Tigers not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since April 3rd (when they won 17-3).

Evelyn Berry was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Maddie Simons, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

Lewis & Clark always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .606. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

The win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 4-14. As for Gonzaga Prep, they are on a 30-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-20.
