Soccer Game Preview: Cherokee vs. Claiborne

Cherokee is 8-2 against Claiborne since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Chiefs will be playing at home against the Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Cherokee is headed into Monday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight matches on Tuesday. They lost 8-3 to Grainger. The matchup was a close 2-1 at the break, but unfortunately for Cherokee it sure didn't stay that way.

Meanwhile, Claiborne fell victim to Cumberland Gap and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They came up short against the Panthers, falling 3-0. Claiborne have struggled against Cumberland Gap recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

Cherokee's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Claiborne, their loss dropped their record down to 0-13.

Cherokee got the 'W' when the teams last played back in April against Claiborne by a conclusive 3-0 score. Will the Chiefs repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
