Basketball Recap: Georgetown Comes Up Short

Georgetown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 52-50 heartbreaker at the hands of the Williamsburg Wildcats. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the G-Men this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 60-34 back in December of 2024.

Georgetown's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Williamsburg, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-6.

Georgetown will square off against Felicity-Franklin at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Williamsburg has already played their next game, a 72-42 win against East Clinton on the 15th.
