St. John entered their tilt with Grand Valley on Tuesday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They blew past the Mustangs 3-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Fighting Herald also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

While St. John won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-22, 25-17.

Sophia Kemmer paced St. John's offense, picking up seven kills. Kemmer were helped by Breelyn Graham and Lilliana Mather, who contributed nine assists each. Alexa Jordan and Katie Carney kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

St. John's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Grand Valley, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season.

St. John will head out to challenge Conneaut at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Grand Valley, they will host Pymatuning Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
