Basketball Recap: Ewen-Trout Creek Extends Winning Streak to 13

Ewen-Trout Creek waltzed into their match on Tuesday with 12 straight wins... but they left with 13. They took down the Houghton Gremlins 40-26. This was payback for the Panthers, who suffered a 60-36 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Ewen-Trout Creek's win was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 19-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 25.2 points over those games. As for Houghton, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-8 record this season.
