Baseball Game Preview: Windsor Jaguars vs. Ukiah Wildcats

The Windsor Jaguars will face off against the Ukiah Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Windsor 3.4, Ukiah 3) so any runs scored will be well earned.

On Wednesday, Windsor made easy work of Tournament Opponent and carried off an 8-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Jaguars, who have now won three games by six runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Ukiah entered their tilt with Arroyo on Saturday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They walked away with an 8-4 victory over the Dons.

Beau David looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Ukiah got a massive performance out of George Gibbs, who fired off two home runs and three RBI while going 2-for-4. Those two home runs gave Gibbs a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jonny Van Hoy, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.

Ukiah hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Arroyo struck out seven times.

The win got Windsor back to even at 4-4. As for Ukiah, their victory bumped their record up to 7-3.
