Football Recap: Harrison Central Finds Home Field Redemption Against Hancock + How To Watch

There's no place like home for Harrison Central, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They took down the Hancock Hawks 31-14 on Friday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Red Rebels considering their 12-point performance the contest before.

Zahkarri McGlothin went supernova, rushing for 192 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 10.7 yards per carry. That's the most rushing touchdowns he has posted since back in September of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Russell, who threw for 187 yards and a pair of TDs on only 16 passes.

When it comes to explaining why Hancock lost, don't look at Kaison Koenenn. Despite the final result, he rushed for 105 yards and one score, and also threw for 162 yards on 21 of 30 attempts.

The victory got Harrison Central back to even at 1-1. As for Hancock, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Harrison Central wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 50-7 defeat against Heidelberg on the 12th. As for Hancock, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 60-54 loss against Poplarville on the 12th.
