Soccer Game Preview: Clearfield vs. DuBois

The Clearfield Bison will square off against the DuBois Beavers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Clearfield is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. Their defense stepped up to hand Punxsutawney a 5-0 shutout. The victory was some much needed relief for Clearfield as it spelled an end to their six-match losing streak.

They hit Punxsutawney with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Tucker Scott (2), Alexander Cummings, Caleb Gibson, and Brody Lanich.

Meanwhile, DuBois' game last Wednesday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. Everything went their way against Warren as they made off with a 4-1 win. Considering DuBois have won ten contests by more than two goals this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

DuBois' victory bumped their record up to 16-2. As for Clearfield, they picked up their first home win, bumping their record up to 3-15.

Clearfield suffered a grim 5-0 defeat to DuBois in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Can the Bison avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
