Baseball Recap: Independence's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Saturday

It was a good run, but Independence unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Saturday. They lost 14-3 to the Loranger Wolves. If the Tigers were looking for revenge after losing 10-0 to the Wolves when the teams met back in April of 2022, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Independence's defeat dropped their record down to 15-13. As for Loranger, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 13-15.

Independence has already played their next match, a 14-2 victory against East Feliciana on the 14th. As for Loranger, they will challenge Archbishop Hannan on the 22nd. The Hawks' pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so the Wolves' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
