Floyd Central extended their postseason success on Tuesday against Castle. They came out on top against the Knights by a score of 5-1. Winning may never get old, but the Highlanders sure are getting used to it with their 16th in a row.

Emmy Miller looked comfortable as she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Floyd Central's victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Nora Koehler, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Breleigh Lockhart was another, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Floyd Central's win bumped their record up to 26-4. As for Castle, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-13.

Looking ahead, Floyd Central will take on Greenfield-Central at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Cougars will roll in looking for their 12th straight victory, something the Highlanders surely won't give up without a fight. Castle does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
