Sherman Oaks CES had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They had just enough and edged out the Verdugo Hills Dons 1-0 on Wednesday. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Sherman Oaks CES were the better team in the second half.

Sherman Oaks CES and Verdugo Hills will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time the Knights see the pitch they'll take on San Fernando at 4:30 p.m. on December 3. As for Verdugo Hills, their break will end when they face North Hollywood at 4:00 p.m. on December 1.
