Basketball Recap: Ferguson Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Ferguson can now relate to. They received a blow on Thursday as they fell 56-38 to the Western Wildcats.

It was another big night for Maddison Manragh, who dropped a double-double with 30 points and ten rebounds for Western. Manragh is crushing it when it comes to boards: she's pulled down at least ten every time she's taken the court this season. Brianna Jarquin was another key player, dropping a double-double with ten points and ten steals.

Ferguson's loss dropped their record down to 18-5. As for Western, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 14-9.

Ferguson does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Western, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 76-30 defeat against Doral Academy on the 18th.
