There's no place like home for May River, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They walked away with a 6-2 victory over the Beaufort Eagles on Friday. This was a revenge game for the Sharks: when they faced off against the Eagles last Wednesday, they had to take a 4-0 loss.

The team relied heavily on Trace Mischik, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple and one double. Fergus Varley was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI.

May River is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Beaufort, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-9.
