Basketball Recap: Highland Park Extends Road Winning Streak to Seven

Highland Park had won six straight road games dating back to last season and Pearmella Carter did her part to make it seven on Tuesday. The Highland Park Scots walked away with a 54-42 victory over the Sumner Academy Sabres thanks in part to Carter, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 20 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Highland Park's points.

Highland Park's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Sumner Academy, they now have a losing record at 2-3.

Highland Park will venture away from home to face off against Harmon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Highland Park is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59.8 points per game this season. Sumner Academy has already played their next game (against Schlagle), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
