Baseball Game Preview: Nestucca Bobcats vs. Weston-McEwen/Griswold Tiger Scots

The Nestucca Bobcats will venture away from home to challenge the Weston-McEwen/Griswold Tiger Scots at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. Weston-McEwen/Griswold took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Nestucca, who comes in off a win.

Nestucca will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any runs last Tuesday, then bounced right back against Eddyville on Tuesday. Nestucca was the clear victor by a 22-2 margin over Eddyville.

Brady Hurliman and Nolan Hurlimann made a splash no matter where they played. On the mound, Hurliman pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Hurlimann struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits (and not a single walk). At bat, Hurliman scored a run while going 1-for-3, while Hurlimann scored two runs while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance also gave Hurliman a new career-high in RBI (three).
