Softball Recap: St. Clair Comes Up Short

St. Clair fell victim to Marysville and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Vikings. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, the Saints' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

St. Clair's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 15-3-2. As for Marysville, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Clair will venture away from home to challenge Fraser at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Marysville, they will head out to face off against Utica at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Chieftains have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.68 runs per game on average), something the Vikings will no doubt try to take advantage of.
