Basketball Recap: Noah Wright Key Part of Team Effort in Bulldogs Win + How To Watch

Dixon hadn't beaten Heide Trask on the road since January 21, 2020 but that history sure didn't bother them on Friday. The Bulldogs walked away with a 76-69 victory over the Titans. This was payback for the Bulldogs, who suffered a 68-56 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Dixon's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Noah Wright led the charge by putting up 17 points and seven assists. Wright's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points. Anthony Pauline was another key player, shooting 80% from the field on his way to 18 points and eight boards.

They weren't the only ones working in the assist department: Dixon was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. They racked up seven more assists than Heide Trask's also-impressive total of 13.

Heide Trask's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Faqeeh Harmon, who posted 19 points. Another player making a difference was Kason Murphy, who put up ten points.

Dixon now has a winning record of 2-1.

Dixon wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 61-57 defeat against South Lenoir on the 25th. As for Heide Trask, they have also already played their next contest, an 80-76 win against Richlands on the 24th.
