Volleyball Game Preview: Dublin Scioto Irish vs. Walnut Ridge Scots + How To Watch

After both having extra time off, the Dublin Scioto Irish and the Walnut Ridge Scots will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Dublin Scioto will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.

Dublin Scioto had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Westerville North last Thursday. The Irish were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Warriors.

Dublin Scioto not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Westerville North between 17 and 19 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-19, 25-18.

Dublin Scioto's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Olivia Konerman, who had 12 digs and three aces. Konerman has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last seven times she's played. Another player making a difference was Lyla Magnussen, who had five digs and three aces.

Meanwhile, Walnut Ridge came up short against Westland on Monday and fell 3-1. The Scots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 23-25, 25-16, 25-13.

Walnut Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 11-4. As for Dublin Scioto, their victory bumped their record up to 18-4.

Dublin Scioto took their win against Walnut Ridge in their previous matchup back in October of 2018 by a conclusive 3-0 score. Will the Irish repeat their success, or do the Scots have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
