Softball Recap: La Porte's Run of Three Straight Wins Now Over

It was a good run, but La Porte unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Angleton Wildcats. If the Bulldogs were looking for revenge after losing 3-2 to the Wildcats when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

La Porte saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kynlee Arachiga, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4.

La Porte's loss dropped their record down to 10-3-1. As for Angleton, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 9-1.

Looking ahead, La Porte will head out to challenge Ball at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. La Porte's pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so Ball's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Angleton, they will take on Friendswood at 6:30 p.m. on March 18th.
