Softball Recap: Ripon Comes Up Short

Ripon saw some tournament action on Saturday. They fell just short of the Whitnall Falcons by a score of 5-3. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lily Kwakkel made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base.

Ripon's defeat dropped their record down to 17-5. As for Whitnall, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ripon will host Notre Dame Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Whitnall, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Milton at 4:30 p.m.
